Say “I Love You” and Other Thai Love Phrases
When you meet a girl and you like her or think she’s pretty you want to be able to tell her right? It can be hard enough for some of us when the girl speaks the same language as us, but what can you do if you’ve just met the Thai girl of your dreams and don’t know how to tell her how you feel?
Here are a few phrases of love that will go a long way in letting your girl know how you feel and finding out how she feels. Don’t let the spoken language barrier block the language of the heart.

koon suay mak (คุณสวยมาก) – You are very beautiful
koon na-ruk mak (คุณน่ารักมาก) – You are very cute
koon tam hai pom mee kwarm sook (คุณทำให้ผมมีความสุข) – You make me happy
pom kit teung koon (ผมคิดถึงคุณ) – I miss you
pom sot (ผมยังโสด) – I am single
koon chorp pom reu blao (คุณชอบผมหรือเปล่า) – Do you like me? (For yes the reply is “chorp” and for no the reply is “mai chorp”)
koon mee faen reu yung (คุณมีแฟนหรือยัง) – Do you have a girlfriend/boyfriend? (For yes the reply is “mee” and for no the reply is “mai mee”)
ben faen pom dai mai (เป็นแฟนผมได้ไหม) – Can you be my girlfriend? (For yes the reply is “dai” and for no the reply is “mai dai”)
pom kit wa pom long ruk koon (ผมคิดว่าผมหลงรักคุณ) – I think I have fallen in love with you
hua jai kong pom ben kong koon (หัวใจของผมเป็นของคุณ) – My heart is yours
chan rak khoon (ฉันรักคุณ) – I love you
chan rak khoon maak leeuy (ฉันรักคุณมากเลย) – I love you so much
joop dai mai (จูบได้ไหม) – Can I kiss you?
tee rak (ที่รัก) – sweetheart or darling
koon keu yot ruk kong pom (คุณคือยอดรักของผม) – You are my sweetheart

1. Use google translate tool: translate.google.com
2. Paste the Thai sentences you want to read.
3. There’s a listen button on the bottom right corner box.

Very nice find! Does it actually pronounce them correctly or does it garble everything the way it does when you try to translate? I’m guessing the audio is easier than the translation maybe? Does it also get the tones correct?
Are American names pronounced the same in Thai as in English? I heard someone introduce themselves and the name sounded quite different.
Maybe because Thais have trouble pronouncing certain sounds and consonant combinations. For example, almost every Thai pronounces my name ‘Sa-teeb’, because they have trouble with the ‘st’ combination as well as the letter ‘v’.

Sorry Big Daddy S, you mispelled somes words “ฉันก็ฅีดถ๊งและเปีนหวงฅฌเหม็อน?รักนะลับๆ” must be “คิดถึงและเป็นห่วง รักนะ”. You don’t need to always say the pronoun in thai language. Also be careful: “ห่วง” means to be worry about BUT “หวง” means to be jealous.
Another sentence to complete this article:
“มีแต่คุณในหัวใจ” – You are the only one in my heart
And then for fun to add:
“แต่หัวใจมีสี่ห้อง” – But my heart has 4 rooms

Wonder if I could get some help translating this Thai msg. As I know close to nil about the thai languague, this short text took me like 20 mintues with a Thai virture keyboard to typ it out, those ?? are words that I was not able to find. LoLZ!

@ Jerry – These are already phoenetic spellings so no silent letters included. They are pronounced as they are spelled.
@ Porn – That’s a great idea! Of course I can’t do it myself as I’ve never been able to find the time to read/write Thai. Maybe once I am semi-retired. I will see if I can convince Golf to do the translations for everyone and will update here soon hopefully.
What about writing it there in Thai letters too?

How do you pronounce some of the sentences coz i know there are a lot of silent Ts and Ks etc in thai language…so can you also share the pronounciation text (tee rak – is it pronounced TEE RAK?) along with the written translation.
