Steve Interviewed for the First Time

Over the course of the past few months I’ve done several Thailand bloggers interviews that have been quite fun and informative. Today the mirror has been turned on me as Jon from Jonny Foreigner blog has posted his interview with none other than me!

To say that I am flattered is quite an understatement. This marks the first interview I’ve given online and I have to say it was fun for me and also a bit enlightening. It made me think about things that sort of sit in the back of the head, but never get fully examined and I feel like it was a good exercise for me as well as making sure the interview itself turned out to be full of useful content and interesting. Of course the bulk of the credit for that goes to Jon who came up with very insightful and probing questions.

So, if you have a few minutes why not head on over to Jon’s blog where you can learn a bit more about what makes me tick as well as having the chance to see never before published photos of both myself and Golf. Oh, maybe I shouldn’t have mentioned that…I think it could end up driving people away :>)

Anyway, just go check out the interview, leave a comment there and then come back here to let me know what you think or what questions might have been left unanswered in your mind.

Martyn, Thanks so much for the kind words. I am hoping the roadmap is well laid out as well but as that venerable poet Rabbie Burns reminds us in To a Mouse:

“But, Mousie, thou art no thy lane,
    In proving foresight may be vain;
The best-laid schemes o’ mice an ‘men
    Gang aft agley,
An’lea’e us nought but grief an’ pain,
    For promis’d joy!”

I can only hope that my plans will not “Gang aft agley”.

The income is nice and now all that needs to be put in place is the bankroll for the move itself. Another year should see us in Thailand and while it means 1 more winter here in the States it is just 1 more winter.

Hopefully all of your plans will come to fruition soon as well and we can lift a glass to Mr. Burns :)

Steve I read your interview on Jon’s blog and the excellent questions were matched with some great replies. Your roadmap for Thailand appears to be well laid out. The income from your blogs alone would be enough for me to make the move right now. Good luck to the three of you when you decide to leave your current shores.

    Hi Steve,

Nice interview, I’m impressed with your income from your blog(s), 2K US per month, Just from this blog or are there more?

I feel like I’m doing something wrong ;-)

Good luck with moving to Thailand.

Thanks Camille, the interview was fun to do and I’m glad everyone seems to be enjoying it. The income is from several blogs, not just this one and took quite a while to build to that level. Keep heart and keep working and I’m sure you can get there too!

Wait a sec… weren’t you interviewed on Cat’s blog? And, I asked you to answer your own interview questions a while back (3 months?) and you agreed to! Are you still going to do that? Your interview over at Jonny’s was very slick. Great info.

Nope, never interviewed by Catherine. She was going to interview Golf, but that was about food so I think she decided that since it wasn’t language related it wasn’t relevant. Yes I remember chatting about me answering the questions in my previous interviews with others, but I decided that would be too self-serving. And now that Jon has done such a nice job with the interview I don’t really see the need? Or maybe you would like to interview me for Thai Pulse? :)

Glad you liked the interview at Jon’s blog, most of the credit goes to him for coming up with a great set of questions.
